Raquel Tibol fue una importante figura dentro del arte, la cultura y el periodismo, prolífica promotora y cronista cultural, así como conductora de televisión. La también compositora de música de concierto tiene entre los reconocimientos más destacados el Premio de Periodismo Cultural Fernando Benítez, la Medalla de oro de Bellas Artes y el Doctorado Honoris Causa por la UAM.
