En 1946, César Portillo de la Luz tenía 24 años de edad y estaba casado por primera vez cuando escribió uno de los boleros más aclamados de la música cubana, Contigo en la distancia.

A 95 años del nacimiento del compositor cubano, te proponemos escuchar este bolero en voz de su autor. Esta grabación se encuentra en el disco compacto Cuba tourist a selection of good music, editado en 2005 por Desarrollos Artísticos.

Según su autor, esta canción habla de “lo que se siente en la pareja” y ha sido reinterpretada por infinidad de cantantes, a lo largo de 71 años.
