Dedicamos el audio del día al compositor mexicano Carlos Chávez (1899-1948), figura fundamental del movimiento nacionalista musical mexicano, y cuya obra abarcó música de cámara, piano solo, sinfonías, ópera y ballet.

A 118 años de su nacimiento, te proponemos escuchar Sinfonía india, interpretada por la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, bajo la dirección de Eduardo Mata. Esta pieza fue grabada en el Aula Magna de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas entre 1992 y 1993, y se encuentra editada en el CD Orbon, Villa-Lobos, Estevez, Chávez. Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. Eduardo Mata, director.
